Little Secrets
"Are you alive?" 4 stars for this domestic thriller by Jennifer Hillier that kept me guessing right until the end. Marin has it all: money, fame, love, and a family. Everything changes the day her son is kidnapped right under her nose in a crowded market. A year later, there is no lead, no body, and her marriage is falling apart as she discovers an affair between her husband and Kenzie, a college student. She may not be able to find her son, but she can save her marriage, even if it means getting rid of Kenzie permanently. What I loved about this book is that we not only got Marin's point of view but Kenzie's as well, which added a layer of complexity which made me unsure who to root for.

This book technically had all the elements I love in a thriller (dual point of view, dual timeline, a true-crime podcast reference), but for some reason it just didn't capture my attention all that much. It was still an enjoyable read, and even though I wasn't surprised by much of it, the story is still interesting and worth reading.
