4.5 stars for this courtroom drama about an aunt who did the unthinkable, forgetting her 3-year-old nephew in the car. This was our first book club book back in November, and at first I thought, "What the hell am I reading?" As a mother of a young toddler, the premise of this book is one of my worst nightmares. I thought I knew where the story was headed, and boy, was I ever wrong! Every time I thought, "Okay, this is it" something else would happen and throw me off completely. Needless to say, this book made for a good book club discussion. This was my first book by Kia Abdullah, and I look forward to reading more!
Bottom line, I would recommend this book.
